Hermitage of Santo Angel Custodio

This is the ancient chapel of the Capuchin convent from the XVII Century, representing the Holy Trinity and the Guardian Angel. It is located within an historic orchard, which was owned by the Marquis of Villena, before passing, in the XVI Century, into the hands of cardinal Sandoval y Rojas, who donated it to the monks.

The entrance to the orchard is from the XVI Century, brought from the palace of Munárriz. It is now private property with a mansion that is rented out for large events.

Once a year it is opened to the public when the Saint Day is celebrated, normally on the third Sunday in May, that following the Saint Day of la Bastida.
