Fortified Tower of Baño de la Cava

This is a small fortified tower made of brick and stone, of Arabic origin. Before the construction of the Bridge of San Martín, in the second half of the XIV Century, there was a bridge for boats in the XII Century, of which only this bridgehead remains.

It was protected by a "coracha" (double wall) that still remains. The frequent mists caused the creation of legends about the love between the final Visigoth king and the daughter of the governor of Ceuta, unleashing the Muslim invasion.
