Alarcones Gate

This is an albarran tower that formed part of, together with the Puerta del Sol, the main entrance defended in Islamic times.

The door, with no decoration, still retains a wall of cut stone, highly restored in the lower part and the arch, changing its shape from horseshoe to round. Its upper part was left misshapen in the XVII Century, when it was allowed to be restored in the premises of a nearby convent.
